Cheers as Betting Firm SportPesa Boosts Kenya Open Golf with Ksh 20 Million Sponsorship

The has received a major boost after leading betting firm injected Ksh 20 million into the prestigious tournament.

SportPesa Chief Executive Officer Captain , who is also the Member of Parliament for Kasarani, said the company had chosen the Kenya Open as its grand entry into golf sponsorship.

“We are proud to make our grand entry into golf through this signature event that is part of Kenya’s sporting calendar,” said Karauri. “With the increased prize purse, we hope to continue supporting this tournament for years to come.”

The tournament is scheduled to take place from February 19 to 21 at the .

Among Kenya’s top professionals expected to feature is local golf star , with players from over 20 countries set to participate.

Chairman of Patrick Obath welcomed the sponsorship, terming it a significant milestone for the tournament.

“By supporting the Magical Kenya Open, SportPesa is investing in a platform that attracts global investment, collaboration, and promotes Brand Kenya to international audiences,” said Obath.

During the launch event at Karen Country Club, Karauri handed over a cheque of Ksh 20 million to Obath, officially confirming the partnership ahead of the highly anticipated tournament.
