The International Memon Organization (IMO) has officially launched and endorsed Vision 100, a long term community development framework, during a landmark global event held in Nairobi. The launch was officiated by IMO Global Deputy President Shemir Yakub, who described the initiative as a transformative blueprint for sustainable and inclusive community growth.

Vision 100 is a century long framework pioneered by the IMO East Africa Chapter and is designed to guide communities through structured, values driven development over generations. Speaking at the event, Yakub emphasized that the framework goes beyond short term interventions by focusing on education, dignity, systemic planning, and cultural preservation as the foundations of resilient societies.

Yakub noted that while Vision 100 was developed within the IMO context, its principles are universal and adaptable. He described the framework as having open source potential, inviting communities across the world to localize and adopt it in line with their unique social and cultural realities.

During the launch, Yakub led a symbolic parliamentary style session that culminated in the unanimous global endorsement of Vision 100 by IMO leadership and representatives. The endorsement formally positioned the framework as a guiding model for IMO’s global community development agenda.

Addressing delegates, Yakub said Vision 100 shifts communities from incremental planning to generational transformation, urging leaders and institutions to think beyond immediate outcomes and invest in long term systems that empower future generations.

The Nairobi launch marked a significant milestone for the IMO East Africa Chapter, placing the region at the center of a global conversation on sustainable community development and long range strategic planning. IMO leaders expressed confidence that Vision 100 will serve as a reference model for community empowerment initiatives worldwide.
